Settings

Open Settings from the sidebar. You’ll see a hub page with cards for each of the settings sections below. Sections are gated by plan — if you don’t see a card, your current plan doesn’t include that feature.

Quality controls

The thresholds and behaviour for auto-quality scoring.

  • Auto-publish threshold (default: 80). Drafts scoring at or above this get a green “Auto-quality” badge. They’re not actually published automatically — you still publish them — but the badge tells you they’re safe to fast-track.
  • Review threshold (default: 60). Drafts scoring below this get a yellow flag with a one-line reason (“might have introduced a claim not in the original,” “shorter than your style’s minimum length,” etc.).
  • Enable scoring (default: on). Turn off to skip the scoring pass entirely. Drafts will still generate; they just won’t carry a score. Useful if you want to speed up generation slightly or you’ve established a workflow that doesn’t depend on scores.
  • Override model (Pro plan and higher). Pick a specific AI model for scoring. Default is the fast tier; you can switch to the high-accuracy tier at the cost of a small per-score latency increase.

Auto-style

Configure auto-styling on new product create. Grow and above.

  • Enabled (default: off). Turn on to auto-style every new product as it’s created in Shopify.
  • Default style. Pick one from your library. Every auto-styled draft uses this style.
  • Quota threshold for auto-style (default: 80%). Once this fraction of your monthly transformations is used, auto-styling stops until next cycle to reserve headroom for manual work. See the 80% soft cap.
  • Auto-publish on high confidence (default: off, currently disabled). Roadmap feature for hands-off workflow at very high confidence scores. Not yet shipped.

Team and permissions

Manage teammates who help with the review workflow. Grow and above.

  • Invite a teammate. Enter an email; they get a Shopify staff invite with the reviewer role pre-applied.
  • Reviewer role. Reviewers can open the review queue, publish/edit/discard drafts, and see activity. They cannot start bulk jobs, change settings, or modify billing.
  • Admin role. Anyone with full Shopify admin access to your store has full LingoVae access by default. The reviewer role is opt-in for teammates who should be scoped.
  • Activity attribution. Every action in the activity feed shows the actor; you can audit which teammate published which drafts.

Removing a teammate from Shopify automatically revokes their LingoVae access. No separate offboarding needed.

Brand voice

A Pro feature in development. Will let you provide system-level brand context (style guide, product naming conventions, target customer description) that’s loaded into every styled draft regardless of which style you pick.

Currently behind a feature flag. Contact support if you’d like early access.

Preview samples

The products LingoVae uses when you preview a style in the catalog. By default, LingoVae picks three representative products from your catalog automatically.

You can override this with explicit picks:

  • Pick up to 6 products that are representative of your catalog (a hero product, a typical mid-tier product, a low-key product).
  • These will be used in catalog previews and side-by-side comparisons going forward.

Useful if your catalog has wide variance and the auto-picked samples aren’t giving you a fair preview.

Notifications

Email preferences. All notifications are off by default; opt in to what’s useful.

  • Bulk job completion. Email when a job finishes, fails, or pauses unexpectedly.
  • Schedule ran / ended. Email when one of your schedules kicks in or reverts.
  • Auto-style queue activity. Daily digest of auto-styled drafts ready for review.
  • Quota warnings. Email at 80% used and at 100% used.
  • Plan changes. Email when a downgrade goes into effect, when a pause begins/ends, or when a payment fails.
  • New features and releases. Monthly product update email.

Each can be toggled independently. Notifications go to the email address Shopify has on file for your store; you can override per-recipient in the future (roadmap).

Integrations

Future home for webhook subscriptions, Slack, Zapier, and direct API access. Currently displays a placeholder with a “Notify me when integrations launch” button.

The theme app extension that lets your storefront read styled descriptions is not an integration — it’s installed automatically with the app. Its status (enabled/disabled) is shown here for visibility.

Safeguards

Currently in development. Will let you define store-wide guardrails that apply to every styled draft regardless of which style is used:

  • Banned words and phrases at the store level (e.g., specific competitor names, prohibited claims).
  • Must-mention terms at the store level (e.g., a required disclosure on every product).
  • Price protection — flag drafts that contradict your actual price (e.g., AI claims “now only $99” but the product is $149).

Currently behind a feature flag. Contact support if you’d like early access.

Archived styles

Styles you’ve replaced or removed from your active library. Archived styles:

  • Don’t count against your library cap.
  • Aren’t selectable for new drafts.
  • Are still active for any product already styled with them — those products keep rendering on the storefront.
  • Can be restored to your library at any time (subject to the cap; you may need to archive a different style to make room).
  • Can be permanently deleted if you’re sure (this is irreversible).

Support

Contact info, links to this help center, and a button to open the in-app support widget (Intercom). The widget is the fastest way to get a response from us.

Office hours and SLA depend on your plan:

  • Free / Starter: community forum + documentation. Email support is best-effort.
  • Grow / Pro: email support, target 1 business day response.
  • Terms of service. Current version, with a changelog of revisions.
  • Privacy policy. What data we collect, how it’s used, retention windows.
  • Data residency. Which region your data is stored in. EU stores are stored in EU; US stores in US; etc.
  • Data export. Download a JSON archive of all your styles, drafts, and activity history.
  • Data deletion request. Initiate a GDPR right-to-be-forgotten purge. Irreversible. We confirm via email; once confirmed, we have 30 days to complete.

Uninstall

Uninstall LingoVae from your store. You’ll be asked to choose:

  1. Keep my styled descriptions live. Your storefront keeps rendering the styled versions. We retain your data for 9+ months in case you reinstall. The theme app extension stays enabled.
  2. Strip styling and revert to originals. We remove every styled metafield from every product. Your storefront falls back to your original Shopify descriptions. We still retain your LingoVae library and history for 9+ months in case you reinstall.

Uninstalling from this screen is equivalent to uninstalling from Shopify Apps. Both paths offer the same choice.
