Get started with LingoVae

LingoVae is an embedded Shopify app — it runs inside your Shopify admin. You install it once, and from then on it lives under Apps → LingoVae in your admin sidebar.

This page walks you through the first five minutes.

Install LingoVae

  1. Visit the LingoVae listing on the Shopify App Store and click Add app.
  2. Approve the permissions Shopify shows you. We ask for read/write access to products and a few metafields. We never read customer or order data.
  3. Shopify drops you back into your admin with LingoVae open and ready to use.

There’s no separate account to create, no API keys to paste, no theme code to add. The install handles everything.

About the theme app extension. A small block called “LingoVae routing” gets enabled in your theme during install. This is what lets your storefront know which version of a product description to show. You don’t need to touch it. If you ever uninstall the app, the block disables on its own and your storefront falls back to your original descriptions.

Your first style

When you open LingoVae for the first time, you’ll land on a one-screen welcome that asks you to pick a product to style.

You don’t need to make any decisions yet. The app suggests a product for you (usually one with a short or generic description, so the before-and-after is dramatic). You can accept the suggestion or pick a different product.

Once you confirm, LingoVae generates four drafts of that product’s description — one in each of the four starter voices: Professional, Friendly, Benefits-forward, and Detailed. This takes about ten seconds.

You then see all four drafts side by side and decide which one (if any) you want to publish. Pick one to publish it to your storefront, or pick none and keep your original. Either way, your original description is preserved — you can revert at any time, including months from now.

That’s the whole flow: pick a product → see drafts → publish one (or don’t). Everything else in LingoVae is a variation on this.

What you’ll see next

After your first style, the home page changes shape based on what you did and what plan you’re on.

  • Free plan, early days. You’ll see a momentum-building view: “You’ve styled 3 products. Here are some more we’d recommend.” You stay in this view until you hit the 10-product cap (after which you’ll see an upgrade prompt).
  • Starter, Grow, Pro. After your first few styles, the home page becomes a dashboard: recent activity, drafts waiting for review, bulk jobs in progress, and shortcuts to the surfaces you use most.

The wizard never disappears completely on the Free and Starter plans — it acts as a permanent home with adaptive content. On Grow and above, it shows once on fresh install and then steps aside.

Where things live

LingoVae has six main areas, all reachable from the sidebar:

AreaWhat’s there
